How do multiple weighting sets help when comparing vendor RFP bids?

Posted in RFP Scoring and Bid Analysis, last updated on Dec. 10, 2020

The reason weightings are applied to questions and sections is to reflect the priorities assigned to different aspects of the product or service being assessed. It is natural that different people will have different priorities. For example, the Marketing Director might take a different view to the Finance Director / CFO. It's also possible that one person might have different sets of priorities for some other reason.

To help with these situations PostRFP supports multiple weighting sets. A weighting set is a complete parralell set of weightings for all questions and sections. Weighting sets are given a name. When you create a new weighting set you can copy all the weightings from an existing set, so you've got a more realistic base to work from.
