What does "Allow Private Messages" mean?

Posted in Managing Vendor Evaluation Projects, last updated on Dec. 10, 2020

"Allow Private Messages" means that confidential notes can be delivered between yourself (the buyer) and a Supplier that is responding to your project. If you leave this option unchecked (default), then all messages between yourself (the buyer) and a Supplier will be visible by all of the other Suppliers that are responding to the project. This ensures that all Suppliers receive exactly the same information. This is the required model in regulated markets and government sectors.
